NKSL rules
NKSL Modified Laws for Small Sided Games Summary
U8 and U10 rules will be modified for goal kicks. Defensive team (team not taking the goal kick) will be required to move back to mid field, to allow the offensive team (team taking the goal kick) to inbound the ball. Once the ball is touched by a player (not taking the goal kick) it is a live ball and the defensive team can then move back across midfield.
NKSL limits all league clubs to the number of coaches on the game sideline to a maximum of two coaches, who must be risk management approved following KYSA policy.
Reminder about earrings and jewelry - ESC and NKSL follow the USSF guidance and NO exceptions will be granted. All jewelry is strictly prohibited during a soccer game. This includes earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, leather bands, and rubber bands. Using tape to cover jewelry is not permitted.

Referees do not keep score in recreational soccer. Referees are human, mistakes happen, please remember this and show them respect. If you have a safety issue during a game, please calmly and logically discuss this with the referee. If a referee does not show up to a scheduled game please email our club with the game details. Proceed to play your game, with a coach or assistant coach from either team refereeing the game. The referee money goes to the individual(s) who ref the game. All persons who referee NKSL games need to be SafeSport trained.
